Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute at Jingdezhen is the premier international ceramic artist residency in China. "Sanbao" is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics. It is in yearly attendance at the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts, USA.

Residencies in Italy
La Meridiana is a non-profit institution for the advancement of the ceramic arts. It has been founded in 1981 by Pietro Elia Maddalena. Started off as a summer school, thanks to the high standard of organisation, teaching and facilities, it has become the most important private ceramic school in Italy. The Gallery at Rufford Craft Centre has acquired an international reputation for its varied programme of exhibitions and events. Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts (MISSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing specialized courses for adult professional artists, serious adult students and teachers. Course offerings generally include ceramics, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, writing, music, metal, as well as other media. 2008 marks the twenty-fourth session of MISSA.
Residencies In Japan
ARCUS Project was launched in 1995 by Ibaraki Prefectural Government as its main organizer. It mainly offers an artist-in-residence program as well as other programs such as exhibitions, workshops, lecture series, concerts and film screenings.
In artist-in-residence program, ARCUS Project invites the artists from all over the world through the public selection. ARCUS promotes each artist’s activities by providing with the studio space and financial support. It also gives the artists the opportunities to interact with the local community
